Welcome to a new way to look at life
What does it mean to be wealthy?
For many people, wealth has become a number in a bank account, a bigger house, a nicer vehicle, or the next promotion. We’re constantly encouraged to earn more, buy more, and chase more.
But somewhere along the way, many of us started wondering…
Is this really the life we’re working so hard to build?
At The Wealthy Acre, we believe wealth is much bigger than money.
It’s the peace that comes from walking your own property at sunrise.
It’s harvesting vegetables you grew yourself.
It’s gathering around a dinner table with family and friends.
It’s learning practical skills that make you more capable and confident.
It’s having options when life doesn’t go according to plan.
It’s creating a life where your time, your health, your relationships, and your finances work together—not against each other.
Money matters. We won’t pretend it doesn’t. Financial security creates opportunities, reduces stress, and gives us choices. But money is only one part of a truly wealthy life.
Why we created the wealthy acre
Like many people, we were drawn to the idea of living differently.
We wanted more space. More connection with nature. More freedom to build a life on our own terms.
Moving to an acreage wasn’t about escaping the world—it was about becoming more connected to it.
It meant learning new skills, making mistakes, solving problems we had never faced before, and discovering that real wealth often grows slowly through patience, hard work, and experience.
Some lessons were rewarding.
Some were frustrating.
Many were expensive.
Every one of them taught us something worth sharing.
That’s why The Wealthy Acre exists.
Not because we’ve figured everything out, but because we’re willing to share what we’ve learned—and continue learning alongside a community of people who believe there’s a better way to build a meaningful life.

What You’ll Find Here
The Wealthy Acre isn’t just about homesteading.

Whether you live on 100 acres, a single acre, or in the middle of a city, the principles remain the same.
Build skills.
Make wise financial decisions.
Become more capable.
Reduce unnecessary dependence.
Create a life you’re proud to live.
The Seven Principles of The Wealthy Acre
Everything we do is guided by seven simple principles:
- Own something real.
- Build useful skills.
- Grow what you can.
- Protect your peace.
- Create financial resilience.
- Steward land and animals well.
- Live with less dependence.
These aren’t rules. They’re a direction.
Every small step toward these principles builds a stronger foundation for the future.
This Is Just the Beginning
If you’re here, there’s a good chance you’ve been asking many of the same questions we have.
How do I build a better life?
How do I become more self-reliant?
How do I prepare for the future without living in fear?
How do I build wealth that lasts?
Those are the conversations we’ll be having here.
Some days we’ll be discussing acreage ownership.
Other days we’ll be talking about investing, gardens, horses, rural living, practical skills, or the lessons we’ve learned through experience.
What connects it all is one simple belief:
True wealth isn’t measured only by what you own. It’s measured by what you’re capable of creating, protecting, and passing on.
“The land is where our roots are. The children must be taught to feel and live in harmony with the Earth.”
Maria Montessori
